GRADUATE STUDENT SYMPOSIUM

The 2025 Graduate Student Symposium (formerly Graduate Research Symposium) theme is “Harmonizing Progress: Integrating Arts, Sciences, and Technology for a Sustainable Future.” The Symposium will be April 9 & 10, 2025.
Symposium Application Deadline – March 21nd at 11:59pm
This year’s symposium will include three presentation styles.
- Oral presentations will be 10 minutes long with a 5-minute Q&A session. Audio and visual equipment will be provided for presenters.
- Poster presentations (90 minutes) Presenters are expected to stand by their poster for the full 90 minutes. Presenters should be able to explain their project and answer any questions that people may have.
- Workshops (30 minutes) are an interactive presentation where skills will be taught, and the audience will be asked to engage by performing the skills.
The Graduate Student Symposium is being renamed in an effort by GSS to be more inclusive of scholarship in the humanities, the arts, and other academic areas not traditionally associated with “research.” GSS aims to celebrate and display the scholarship and accomplishments of a vast array of graduate students through the newly renamed Graduate Student Symposium.
